                               Holding in Company


Medal Entertainment & Media plc ("Company") advises that it has received the
following notifications from Friends Ivory & Sime plc and from Singer &
Friedlander AIM 3 Venture Capital Trust of holdings in the Company.  In all
cases, interests have arisen as a result of Ordinary Shares acquired at a price
of 70 pence each as part of the Company's placing for cash completed on 30
August 2002.

The Company was notified yesterday that Friends Ivory & Sime plc ("FIS") is
interested in 1,714,285 Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each in the capital of the
Company representing approximately 18.75 per cent. of the entire issued ordinary
share capital.

The interest of FIS includes the material interests of the clients of FIS
referred to below:

In addition, FIS, as the holding company of the company(s) referred to in the
paragraph(s) above, is also interested in the Ordinary Shares referred to above.
  Furthermore, Friends Provident Life Office, as the holding company if FIS, is
also interested in the Ordinary Shares referred to above.

The Company was notified today that Singer & Friedlander AIM 3 Venture Capital
Trust is interested in 635,143 Ordinary Shares of 10 pence each in the capital
of the Company representing approximately 6.95 per cent. of the entire issued
ordinary share capital.
