Indicative proposal from Calvet International Limited

The Directors of Mercom Capital plc announce that they are in discussions regarding an indicative proposal from Calvet International Limited ("Calvet") which includes a very material fundraising at a substantial premium to last night's closing price. It is the Directors' intention that the General Meeting called for 27 October 2016 be opened and closed without the proposed resolutions being tabled.

There can be no certainty at this point in time that any agreement will be reached with Calvet.
