KBC Advanced Technologies Plc has today utilised its existing authority to
repurchase shares for cancellation. Accordingly, KBC Advanced Technologies Plc
announces that on 11 October 2002 it purchased for cancellation 500,000 of its
ordinary shares from Cazenove & Co. Ltd at a price of 30p per share.
