JLT Group Appoints Nicholas Walsh as a Non-Executive Director

1st October 2014, Jardine Lloyd Thompson Group plc ("JLT"), one of the world's leading providers of insurance, reinsurance and employee benefits related advice, brokerage and associated services, today announces the appointment of Nicholas Walsh as a non-executive director.

Nic has significant experience in international insurance, having held a variety of underwriting, distribution and senior management roles in the industry. Until the end of September 2014, Nic worked at American International Group, Inc. (AIG), where he most recently served as Vice Chairman, AIG Property & Casualty Inc., Chairman of AIG Europe Limited and AIG Asia Pacific Insurance Pte. Ltd. Nic's career at AIG spanned more than 42 years, during which time he held various senior management positions, including serving on the senior management committee and being President and CEO of American International Underwriters, the foreign general insurance segment of AIG.

Commenting on the appointment, Geoffrey Howe, Chairman of JLT, said "We are delighted to welcome Nic Walsh to the Board of JLT. Nic has significant insurance expertise following a long and distinguished career at AIG.
