       ADMISSION OF FURTHER SHARES PURSUANT TO ACCEPTANCES
  
  Hercules announces that, pursuant to acceptances of the
  share-for-share Offer between 3.00pm on 10th October 1997
  and 3.00pm on 22nd October 1997, 25,960 Hercules new
  Ordinary Shares have been allotted.  It is expected that
  these shares will be admitted to trading on AIM at 8.30am on
  Tuesday, 4 November 1997.
