Successful Tender to Operate the Zadar Gazenica Cruise Port in
Croatia
Global Ports Holding Plc ("GPH"), the world's leading cruise
port operator, is pleased to announce that, following the
completion of a competitive tender process, the Port Authority of
Zadar has issued an award decision to grant a concession to GPH for
the operating rights of the Zadar cruise port for a duration of 20
years, which remains subject to entering into final concession
agreement with the Port of Zadar Authority (the "Concession
Agreement").
Zadar is a historical town in Croatia on the Adriatic Sea and
the port has infrastructure that includes a maximum draft of 13m
and 1170 meters of total pier length to accommodate big ships. The
concession of Zadar includes cruise ship passenger port and
terminal services, an international ferry terminal, Ro-Ro services,
vehicles and passenger services. It contains a commercial area of
2.400sqm, with leasable retail and office space.
The signing of the Concession Agreement is subject to both
parties' agreement on its terms, and the signing is expected to
occur within twelve months although there is no certainty on the
timing of the completion of the Concession Agreement and its final
terms. A further announcement will be made as appropriate.
