Central China Goldfields plc

Central China Goldfields plc (the "Company") has today been notified that
following recent purchases of the Company's shares, Mr Paul McGroary and Ms
Tipakorn Anuvatnujotikul now jointly hold 2,612,500 shares in the Company.

This represents 5% of the capital of the Company given the Company has
52,245,000 shares in issue.

Mr Paul McGroary is also a director of Eyeconomy Holdings PLC who separately
hold 1,887,500 shares representing 3.61% of the Company.

The total holdings combined equal 4,500,000 shares or 8.6% of the Company.
