                               Board Appointment

The Board of Eleco plc, the building systems and construction software group, is
pleased to announce the appointment of Mats Lovgren, aged 54, as a Director. He
is also part-time Executive Chairman of Consultec Group AB, the holding company
of the Swedish construction software group, which was acquired by Eleco plc in
February, 2003.

Mats Lovgren has been involved as founder, major shareholder and director of a
number of Swedish construction industry related businesses, including Fastec
Sverige AB, a Franchise construction business, Valutec Group AB, a supplier of
limber drying kilns and Consultec Group AB, the construction software group now
part of Eleco plc. He is also a director and part owner of a number of other
businesses in Sweden, including Structural Design Software in Europe AB.
