                           Eleco plc (the 'Company')

                                Issue of Equity



The Company announces that on 11 May 2007 it issued and allotted 1,041,650 new
ordinary shares of 10p each ("Ordinary Shares") to the Trustees of the Eleco plc
Employee Share Ownership Trust for the purpose of satisfying awards under the
Company's Long Term Incentive Plan.



An application has been made for the Ordinary Shares to be admitted to trading
on AIM. These shares will rank pari passu with the existing ordinary share
capital of the Company. Admission of the new shares is expected to take place on
18 May 2007. Following this transaction the number of total voting rights of the
Company in issue is 56,746,629
