Dewhurst plc announces that on 11 December 2006, pursuant to the authority
granted by shareholders in general meeting, it purchased 36,000 of its own
Ordinary Shares to be held in treasury. The shares were purchased at 192p each.
The total number of Ordinary Shares now held in Treasury is 36,000 and the
number of remaining Ordinary Shares in issue is 3,534,700.
