Deltron Electronics plc ("Deltron") or (the "Company")

The Board of Deltron has noted that the Company's share price has risen from
86p at the close of business on Wednesday, 21 April 1999 to its current
levels.

The Board confirm that Christopher Sawyer, Chief Executive, and Edward Tozer,
Finance Director have indicated that they wish to examine the possibility of
making an offer for the Company.  As a consequence of this, an independent
committee of the Board has been formed under the chairmanship of Paul Gourmand
which will review any approach from management and any other parties which may
or may not be forthcoming.  It is emphasised that these discussions are
currently at an early stage.

A further announcement will be made when appropriate.
