                COMPLETION OF THE ACQUISITION OF C&K, AUSTRIA

                       FOR APPROXIMATELY #0.65 MILLION


Deltron Electronics plc ("Deltron"), the specialist pan-European distributor
of electromechanical components and solutions, announces the completion of its
acquisition of C&K Austria GmbH ("C&K, Austria").

C&K, Austria, is a specialist supplier of electromechanical components. Its
product range has predominantly the same franchises as the rest of the Group,
making assimilation a simple process. Geographically, however, it is highly
significant as, whilst addressing the Austrian market, it also provides a
natural gateway to trade with the growing Eastern-European electronics market,
in such countries as Hungary, Czechoslovakia, and Poland.

The acquisition was approved at an Extraordinary General Meeting of the
Company, held on 15th December 2000.
