Extraordinary General Meeting





The Board of Directors of Charter Pan-European Trust plc (the "Company")
announces that at an extraordinary general meeting of the Company held today,
the resolutions relating to the proposed change in benchmark, change in
investment policy and change of name announced on 13 December 2006 were approved
by shareholders.



The change in benchmark and investment policy will take effect from Tuesday 9
January 2007. The change in the Company's name to Charter European Trust plc
will take effect on receipt from The Registrar of Companies of a  certificate of
incorporation on change of name.
