CHARTER PAN-EUROPEAN TRUST PLC-VOTING RIGHTS AND CAPITAL


The following replaces "Total Voting Rights" announcement released on Wednesday
6 December 2006 under RNS Number 3426N.

The issued capital consists of 29,541,688 ordinary shares with voting rights not
28,056,688 as previously advised.

The full amended text appears below.

In conformity with the Transparency Directive's transitional provision 6 we
would like to notify the market of the following:

Charter Pan-European Trust plc's capital consists of 29,541,688 ordinary shares
with voting rights.  Charter Pan-European Trust plc holds 1,485,000 ordinary
shares in Treasury.

Therefore, the total number of voting rights in Charter Pan-European Trust plc
is 28,056,688.

The above figure (28,056,688) may be used by shareholders as the denominator for
the calculations by which they will determine if they are required to notify
their interest in, or a change to their interest in, Charter Pan-European Trust
plc under the FSA's Disclosure and Transparency Rules.
