                            Director's Shareholding

Croma was advised on 17 May 2004 that John French, the Chairman and Chief
Executive of the Company, yesterday purchased 18,475 ordinary shares of the
Company at 5.2p per share. In addition, Spread Trust Company Limited, a trust in
which John French has an interest, yesterday purchased 55,800 ordinary shares of
the Company at 5.375p per share.

As a result, John French now has an interest in a total of 691,993 ordinary
shares of the Company, representing approximately 0.75 per cent. of the issued
ordinary share capital of the Company.
