                                  CMG PLC AND LOGICA PLC
                 MERGER UPDATE - EUROPEAN COMPETITION CLEARANCE OBTAINED


CMG plc and Logica plc are pleased to announce that clearance has today been
received from the European Commission competition authorities in respect of the
proposed merger of CMG and Logica.


The Merger remains subject to the approval of Logica Shareholders and sanction
of the CMG Scheme of Arrangement by the Court, following which it is anticipated
that the Merger will become effective and dealings will commence on both the
London Stock Exchange and Euronext Amsterdam on 30 December 2002.


Terms used in this announcement shall have the same meaning as in the Listing
Particulars dated 11 November 2002 which have been despatched to both Logica
Shareholders and CMG Shareholders.
