Clipper Ventures Plc ("the Company") announces that it has granted options to
acquire 400,000 ordinary shares of 1p each, at an exercise price of 37.5p per
ordinary share to Richard Cooper, a director of the Company, and options to
acquire 150,000 ordinary shares of 1p each, at an exercise price of 37.5p per
Ordinary Share, to Jeremy Knight, also a director of the Company. These
options are granted for nil consideration under the Clipper Ventures Share
Option Scheme and are exercisable between three and ten years from the date of
grant.



Richard Cooper's existing options to acquire 400,000 ordinary shares of 1p
each at an exercise price of 69.5p per share, which had been granted under the
Clipper Ventures Share Option Scheme, have been cancelled.



Mr Knight now holds, in total, options over 150,000 ordinary shares of 1p each
and Mr Cooper holds, in total, options over 400,000 ordinary shares of 1p
each.



These grants of options and the cancellation of Mr Cooper's existing option
were made by the directors on 1 October 2001.
