Trading Update

Since  the start of the current year, Cedar's confidence  in
its  full-year  business  plan has been  reinforced  by  the
strength of response from the UK market, as well as from its
international initiatives.  The impact of Y2K is  no  longer
seen  to be a damper on opportunity.  Companies seem  to  be
interested  in starting the development of new systems,  now
that  the  imperative of compliance with the date change  is
behind  them.  As well as this encouraging interest  in  its
Financials  products, the potential of Cedar's Workflow  and
Document  Management solution is beginning  to  be  realised
through   discussions   with  several  large   multinational
companies.

Cedar  is  also  making good progress with  its  project  to
harness  the new and rapidly-growing market for delivery  of
application services over the internet (known as Application
Service  Provision ( ASP)).  This  business  initiative  is
based  on partnerships with world-class hardware and  global
network operators.  Cedar is setting up "e-Cedar" as  a  new
division  dedicated  to delivering solutions  conceived  and
built  for the world of e-commerce.  Its first service  will
be  the  network-delivery of Cedar Accounting and  financial
management  applications.  The huge growth of  the  Internet
and  other network services will provide the opportunity for
cost effective, pervasive and absolutely reliable electronic
business-to-business services.

Mike  Harrison, Group Managing Director commented:  "We  see
more opportunity at this stage than at the beginning of  the
financial  year  and  it is clear that  our  growth  is  not
limited  by  market  demand.  Cedar's  clear  task  for  the
remainder   of  this  year  is  to  realise  our   expanding
opportunities."
