CELTIC ANNOUNCES ADVISORY APPOINTMENTS
Celtic plc today announced that it has appointed Nomura International plc to
act as joint financial advisers to the Company. Nomura will act jointly with
the Company's existing financial advisers Greig Middleton & Co. Ltd, in the
provision of corporate finance advice and broking services. Greig Middleton
will be retained in their role as nominated advisers.
Celtic plc views the appointment of Nomura International as the completion of
its team of advisers which will advise on all matters including the
implications of the Company's move to the Official List of the London Stock
Exchange and the intended disposal by Fergus McCann of part or all of his
shareholding in the Company in 1999.
Celtic plc has confirmed that contrary to a recent press report, Mr. Brian
Quinn, a non-executive director of Celtic plc and non-executive chairman of
Nomura Bank International plc had no influence, nor was he involved at any
time in the discussions or subsequent appointment of Nomura International plc.
Fergus McCann today announced that he has appointed Singer & Friedlander Ltd
as his advisers on his divestment plans. The Singer & Friedlander corporate
advising team, headed by Marc Cramsie will work to ensure that all corporate
and capital changes take place in a co-ordinated fashion in support of the
progress of Celtic plc.
