PURCHASE OF OWN SECURITIES AND DIRECTOR'S SHAREHOLDING

Andrews Sykes Group plc announces that yesterday it purchased for cancellation
10,000 Ordinary Shares of 20p each at a price of 114.5p per share.

A further 20,000 Ordinary Shares of 20p each have been purchased today for
cancellation at a price of 114.5p per share.

The issued share capital of the Company is now 72,970,672.

The Company also announces that Jacques Gaston Murray, a director of the
company, today sold 20,000 Ordinary Shares at a price of 114.5p per share.  
Mr J G Murray is now interested in 50,856,257 Ordinary Shares in the Company
representing 69.69 per cent. of the issued share capital.
