The Company has today purchased 35,800 of its own Ordinary Shares of 10p each
at a price of 107.0992p per share. The shares were re-purchased for holding in
treasury.

Following repurchase the Company has 76,674 Ordinary Shares held in treasury.
The number of shares in issue remains as 89,724,381. The number of shares in
issue, less those held in treasury, is 89,647,707.
