Siemens AG (SIE.XE) said Thursday that it had named Peter Koerte as head of its strategy department, effective February 1.

Mr. Koerte will succeed Horst J. Kayser, who had been leading the department on an acting basis, the German engineering company said.

Mr. Koerte currently serves as head of the digital health unit at Siemens Healthineers's diagnostic-imaging division.
