Beiersdorf AG said Thursday that sales for the first nine months of the year grew, and that they exceeded pre-pandemic levels as seen in 2019.

The German maker of personal-care products posted sales of 5.76 billion euros ($6.68 billion), up from EUR5.24 billion in the same period in the prior year.

In the consumer-business segment, sales increased to EUR4.61 billion from EUR4.27 billion a year earlier. In the Tesa self-adhesive business, the metric increased to EUR1.15 billion from EUR974 million in the first nine months of 2020, Beiersdorf said.

The company said it expects 2021 organic sales growth for the group to be between 8% and 10%, while the margin on earnings before interest and taxes is expected to be at the previous year's level, Beiersdorf said.
