MERRITT ISLAND, Fla.,
Nov. 19, 2014 /PRNewswire/
-- Good Vibrations Shoes Inc. (OTCPink: GVSI), announces
that the company has acted on a key segment of its marketing plan
to introduce its unique patented products, vibrating shoes, to the
U.S. Government Services Administration (GSA.)
The GSA accepts, reviews and approves schedules (contracts) for
all governmental services including the Veterans Administration.
Good Vibrations Shoes Inc. views the V.A. as an excellent venue for
its vibrating therapeutic shoes. The V.A. maintains 153
hospitals and 773 clinics.
According to the 2010 census of the Office of the Inspector
General, there were 82,305 patients in the V.A. that have Diabetes
and are at risk for lower extremity amputation. The prevention of
amputation is a major indication for the use of Good Vibrations
Shoes since the shoes can help stimulate improved circulation and
are designed for a roomy fit.
Another major indication for Good Vibrations Shoes is fall
prevention. Each year, more than 1.6 million older U.S. adults go
to emergency departments for fall-related injuries. Among older
adults, falls are the number one cause of fractures, hospital
admissions for trauma, loss of independence, and injury deaths.
Patients with Parkinson's disease (PD) are most susceptible to
falls. 40,000 patients with Parkinson's disease visit the V.A.
every year. Scientific studies have demonstrated that vibration
applied to the feet can improve balance. By vibration stimulation
to the small nerve endings in the foot, it is possible to stimulate
improvement in balance, and thus help prevent falls. Good
Vibrations Shoes Inc. will soon be funding and conducting its own
study to benchmark the positive properties of its line of
therapeutic vibrating shoes, and the enormous impact it can have on
peoples' lives.
For these reasons and more, Good Vibrations Shoes Inc. is
extremely optimistic about securing its own GSA schedule, opening a
huge market and demographic for the company's products.
