Spanish utility company Endesa SA said Tuesday that net profit fell on-year in 2021, though revenue rose compared with 2020.

The company reported net profit of 1.90 billion euros ($2.15 billion) compared with EUR2.13 billion the year prior, on revenue which grew to EUR20.90 billion from EUR17.05 billion in 2020. Endesa said that earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization were EUR4.28 billion in 2021, versus EUR3.81 billion the year prior. It attributed the increase to almost half a million euros in non-recurring items.
