the appointment of Mr. Carter Kowal, President of Kowal Construction Alta Ltd.,
as a new director. Mr. Kowal brings experience in the Western Canadian
exploration and construction industries to the board of Guardian. Between 1994
and 1996, Mr. Kowal was employed as an Exploration Coordinator for Kennecott
Canada for northern projects and subsequently owns and operates his own
successful oilfield construction firm.
