SRA Vice President and Deputy Director, Orion Center for Homeland
Security, Honored for Contributions to Federal Information
Technology FAIRFAX, Va., Feb. 22 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- SRA
International, Inc. (NYSE:SRX) today announced that Federal
Computer Week has named Mary Ellen Condon to its list of the top
100 leaders who had the greatest impact on the government
information systems community in 2005. The 17th annual listing
recognizes executives who have made a difference in the way
agencies and companies develop, acquire, manage, and use
information technology (IT). Condon -- Vice President and Deputy
Director, Orion Center for Homeland Security -- and the other
winners will be honored during ceremonies on March 20 at the
Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Tysons Corner, Virginia. Condon is a
recognized leader in industry forums supporting collaboration and
cooperation between government and industry. In 2005, the Industry
Advisory Council, a leading federal IT association, elected her as
chair of its Information Security and Privacy Shared Interest Group
(SIG). Condon was instrumental in the release of a reference for
federal security guidelines that can serve as a starting point for
agencies to comply with government requirements for information
security and assessment standards. She has expanded the SIG's focus
to address developing materials to improve delivery of identity
management business services, including data management,
validation, and identity protection. She is also active in other
organizations, including a longtime role with Women in Technology
(WIT), a metro-area organization providing women in the technology
community with a networking and professional growth environment.
Prior to joining SRA in 1999, Condon served as the director of
information management and security for the Department of Justice.
She also held senior- level IT positions in federal organizations
such as the Departments of Agriculture and Energy and the
Immigration and Naturalization Service. In her current position,
Condon leads SRA in developing national security and law
enforcement business solutions focused on enhancing citizens'
personal, cyber, and physical safety. "Mary Ellen has been an
active and respected contributor to the government IT community for
many years," said SRA President and CEO Renny DiPentima. "We are
pleased that her continued contributions have been recognized by
Federal Computer Week." About SRA International, Inc. SRA is a
