Schering-Plough Reaches Settlement With Impax on CLARITIN-D(R) 24 Hour Patent Litigation KENILWORTH, N.J., Oct. 27 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Schering-Plough Corporation announced today that it has reached a settlement with Impax Laboratories, Inc. resolving litigation related to Impax's generic version of Schering-Plough's CLARITIN-D(R) 24 Hour Extended Release Tablets. Available as an over-the-counter (OTC) product, CLARITIN-D 24 Hour Extended Release Tablets is a combination product containing the nonsedating antihistamine loratadine and the decongestant pseudoephedrine. Under terms of the agreement, Schering-Plough has provided a license to a relevant patent pertaining to CLARITIN-D 24 Hour Extended Release Tablets to Impax.
