PASADENA, Calif., July 17, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE:JEC) announced today that it has been selected to
provide architectural and engineering services for six Veterans
Integrated Service Networks (VISN) throughout the United States.
The five-year indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ)
awards have a maximum order limit of $7.5
million each, for a total maximum order limit of
$45 million.
Under the terms of the awards, Jacobs is providing planning and
design services to help the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA)
meet federal mandates for energy and sustainability at medical
centers and outpatient clinics across its networks.
Jacobs' scope includes solutions for energy efficiency and
conservation as well as potential evaluation and design for a vast
array of renewable energies that may include geothermal,
cogeneration, biomass, wind turbine and solar photovoltaic
technologies.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President

The range of work includes utility metering, retrocommissioning,
conducting feasibility studies and the planning and design of
projects that increase energy efficiency and water conservation at
multiple sites in six of the VA's regional networks: North Carolina and Virginia; Florida and Puerto
Rico; Missouri,
Kansas, and South Illinois; Central and South Texas; Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska; and Northern
California, Nevada,
Hawaii, and Guam.
