PASADENA, Calif., Dec. 13, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Jacobs Engineering
Group Inc. (NYSE: JEC) announced today that it has been awarded a
contract from Aldar, a premier real estate development, management
and investment company in the United Arab
Emirates, to provide project management support services
during construction for a new retail mall at Yas Island in
Abu Dhabi.
The contract value is estimated at $8
million. Jacobs is executing the project from its offices in
Abu Dhabi.
Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs is providing project
management support services including construction management;
design and leasing change coordination; project controls; logistics
coordination; coordination of site, project health, safety,
security and environment (HSSE) and quality; and implementation of
all associated systems, processes and procedures on behalf of
Aldar.
The "Yas Mall Project," a 2.53 million square
feet (235,000 square meters) development is another key
milestone in the expansion of the leisure and entertainment
destination that is in line with Abu
Dhabi's strategic vision. The project is expected to be
completed in 2014.
In making the announcement, Jacobs Group Vice President
