ITC Promotes Plaushin to Vice President of Federal Affairs

NOVI, Mich., Feb. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- ITC Holdings Corp.
(NYSE: ITC) has promoted Nina Plaushin to vice president of Federal
Affairs. In her new position, Plaushin leads the Washington, D.C.,
office where she represents ITC before Congress on legislative
matters. She also works closely with key regulatory agencies,
including the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission and the
Department of Energy. Plaushin reports to Linda Blair, ITC's
executive vice president and chief business officer. "Nina's
significant contributions include advancing ITC's legislative
agenda and positioning the company in transmission policy reform
efforts," said Blair. "Her extensive industry background and
legislative expertise will continue to drive ITC's leadership
position in the national energy debate as we advocate reform to
promote the development of a transmission system to meet the
nation's energy and environmental goals." Plaushin has more than 20
years experience managing government and regulatory policy at the
federal and state levels. Plaushin joined ITC in 2008 as director
of Federal and Legislative Affairs. Prior to joining ITC, she
served as vice president of External Affairs at WPPI Energy. Before
that, she was director of Government and Regulatory Affairs at
Wisconsin-based American Transmission Company and manager of
Federal Regulatory Affairs at PPL, an investor-owned utility
headquartered in Allentown, Pa. Before entering the private sector,
Plaushin worked for several members of Congress including Sen.
Lowell P. Weicker, Jr. (R-CT), Sen. Spark Matsunaga (D-HI), and
Rep. C. Thomas McMillen (D-MD). Plaushin is active in a number of
industry organizations, including the Edison Electric Institute,
the Energy Future Coalition, and WIRES, where she serves as vice
president. WIRES is a non-profit working group that promotes a
legal and public policy climate that focuses investors,
policymakers and the public on the benefits that high-voltage
transmission solutions offer for the economy, national security and
the energy-consuming public. Plaushin received a Bachelor of Arts
degree in political science from Drew University in Madison, New
Jersey. Plaushin lives in Alexandria, Va., with her husband and two
