Ingram Micro Inc. (NYSE: IM), the world's largest wholesale
technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain,
mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions, today
announced it has been named Value-Added Distribution Partner of the
Year by Websense, Inc. The honor reflects the business-building
efforts put forth by Ingram Micro's Advanced Technology Division
and Networking and Security Business Unit in 2012.
Simultaneously, Ingram Micro channel partner Internet Content
Management, Inc. (ICM), of Jackson, Miss., was also singled out by
Websense as 2012 UpSell/Cross Sell Champ of the Year. A leader
among its peers, ICM was awarded for its success in delivering
professional services in association with key Websense deployments,
including virtual installations and consulting offerings, through
the Ingram Micro Services Network (IMSN).
"Ingram Micro's Advanced Technology division and Networking and
Security business unit excelled in bringing professional services
to the forefront for Websense channel partners in the U.S.," said
Dee Dee Acquista, senior director of channels for Websense. "Our
TRITON™ architecture, combined with Ingram Micro's security
expertise and partner enablement resources, including the Ingram
Micro Services Network, provided simplified success for our
partners in 2012."
For the past several years, Ingram Micro's Advanced Technology
division and Networking and Security business unit have supported
Websense with a dedicated team of industry experts across computing
sales, marketing and technical support. The distributor is building
on its success in 2013 and working with Websense to educate and
train channel partners on how to build the business case for IT
security and take advantage of the security innovator's TRITON
architecture.
"Ingram Micro successfully aligned its business with Websense's
strategic initiatives in 2012 and kept our focus on execution and
enablement," said Eric Kohl, senior director, Ingram Micro Advanced
Technology division, U.S. "It's an honor to be recognized by
Websense as its top-performing value-added distribution partner in
2012, and we're thrilled to see ICM earn the title of 2012
UpSell/Cross Sell Champ of the Year."
Ingram Micro's Advanced Technology division and Networking and
