Waitt also unveiled the newly remodeled Union Square Gateway store.
Nearly all of the 190 Gateway stores have been remodeled during the
summer and fall, and offer visitors an engaging immersion into the
digital lifestyle along with a one-of-a-kind buying experience and
knowledgeable, friendly salespeople. Businesses, too, have a local
technology resource in the Gateway stores, which showcase the
convergence of front- and back-office solutions, ranging from
conference room projectors and digital displays to rack-mount
storage devices. Waitt also spotlighted Gateway's new solutions
bundles that make it easy for customers to get everything they need
for a specific activity in a single, value-priced package. For
instance, a new digital photography bundle includes a Gateway 310S
desktop PC, Gateway's Digital Photo Creator Kit, a Gateway T20
2-megapixel digital camera, Gateway's Survive & Thrive(TM)
digital photography learning course, an Epson Stylus C84 printer, a
6-ft printer cable, and Epson 4x6" photo paper, all for just
$899.99(2). Similarly complete solutions are now available for
digital music, digital video and home networking. "Gateway has made
a sweeping transformation from a traditional PC company into a
branded integrator of digital products and services," said Waitt.
"For consumers, we've become a leading source for cool digital
electronics that deliver unparalleled value. Businesses now have in
Gateway another top-tier provider for not only their core IT needs,
but also customized AV solutions for their customer-facing
operations, along with legendary Gateway service that sets us apart
from the giant IT companies." Remodeled Gateway Stores Put It All
Together Anyone who's gotten lost inside a vast electronics
warehouse -- or walked out of a high-end specialty store after
seeing the prices -- will appreciate Gateway's remodeled retail
stores across the nation (see
http://www.gateway.com/store/index.shtml for locations). The new
Gateway stores feature knowledgeable, friendly salespeople who help
customers make PC and CE technology work together seamlessly to
meet their specific requirements. Consumers and businesses can try
products out for themselves in a networked setting, seeing
firsthand not only how products work, but how they work together. A
central feature of each Gateway store now is "the hearth" -- a
living room within the store where consumers can experience TVs and
other products in a home setting. The stores also feature focus
areas for business, creativity, connectivity, learning and other
activity-focused sections. The new store design is sleek and
contemporary, but also warm and inviting with natural wood and
earth tones. Customers can relax and enjoy new technologies, while
getting to know Gateway experts and how they can help meet their
needs. About Gateway Since its founding in 1985, Gateway (NYSE:GTW)
has been a technology and direct-marketing pioneer, using its call
centers, web site and retail network to build direct customer
relationships. As it transforms itself from a leading PC company
into a branded integrator of personalized technology solutions, its
range of Gateway-branded products is expanding to include thin TVs,
digital cameras, tablet PCs, and enterprise products, all of which
are designed to work seamlessly together with the company's
award-winning line of PCs. Gateway is America's second most admired
computer company, according to Fortune magazine(3), and its
products and services received more than 125 awards and honors last
year. Visit http://www.gateway.com/ for more information. (1) Hard
