Atlas Air Worldwide Holdings Inc. is expanding its partnership with FedEx Corp. to provide two additional freighter aircraft.

The additional aircraft are Boeing 747-400 freighters that Atlas will provide along with crew, maintenance and insurance, the company said. They will add to Atlas's existing multi-year peak-season contract with FedEx to provide at least five aircraft during the fourth quarter.

Atlas Chief Executive John Dietrich said that the agreement reflects strong market demand for air-freight capacity.
