Premiering today at noon ET, The Rich Eisen Show, a new,
three-hour (Noon to 3 p.m. ET), daily talk show featuring NFL
Network’s Rich Eisen will air exclusively on DIRECTV’s
Audience Network and be available digitally on NFL Now.
(nfl.com/now)
Produced and owned by DIRECTV Original Content, the show will
also debut on DIRECTV’s ROOT Sports-branded regional sports
networks in Pittsburgh, Denver and Seattle.
Originating out of a newly designed studio from DIRECTV’s
headquarters in Los Angeles, The Rich Eisen Show is a natural
progression for the NFL Network host whose weekly NFL.com podcast
garnered 16 million downloads over its four-year run. In moving to
a daily format, the new show allows Eisen to use his engaging blend
of insightful football analysis with an offbeat mix of humor and
pop culture, while continuing to attract the most recognizable
names in sports and entertainment.
During the first week of the show, Eisen will talk with guests
from the world of sports such as NFL Network analysts Marshall
Faulk, Steve Mariucci, Michael Irvin and Saints
Coach Sean Payton; Hall of Fame running back Marcus
Allen, 49ers CEO Jed York, MMQB writer Peter King
and Dan Patrick, who will be the show’s initial guest.
Additionally, many of the biggest names from film and television
will be regular guests on the show and appear in studio, including
actor/comedian Paul Rudd (The 40-Year-Old Virgin, Knocked
Up); Vince Gilligan, Emmy Award-winning creator/writer of
Breaking Bad; actor/comedian David Koechner
(Anchorman); and actor David Boreanaz (BONES, FX).
In addition to Eisen, the show brings together executive
producer Ted Mulkerin, a Peabody Award-winning writer who
joins from ‘The Late Late Show,’ Chris Law and Chris
Brockman, both longtime contributors to Eisen’s NFL.com
podcast, and coordinating producer Drew Ohlmeyer, who spent
10 years with NFL Media as a producer and liaison to the 32 NFL
Clubs prior to joining The Rich Eisen Show.
Every Thursday during the NFL’s regular season, The Rich Eisen
Show will air from different stadiums across the country, as Rich
travels with the NFL Network crew to the weekly Thursday Night
Football game. This Thursday, October 9th, the show will be live
from NRG Stadium in Houston, where the Texans will take on the
Indianapolis Colts later that night. Eisen can also be found on
Thursdays on NFL Network’s pregame show, NFL Total Access Kickoff
(6 p.m. ET).
On Fridays during the remainder of the NFL season, the show will
feature a celebrity guest host, as Rich finishes up Thursday Night
Football. Confirmed Friday celebrity guest hosts include the
Sklar Brothers (Actor/Comedians, Oct. 17); Jeff
Schaffer (FX’s The League, Oct. 31); and Colin Hanks
(actor, FX’s Fargo, Nov. 7).
On NFL Now, the League’s next-generation video service, The Rich
Eisen Show will be a part of the largest digital library of NFL
video anywhere, accessible through apps and browsers across an
array of Internet-connected devices. With game highlights, content
from each of the 32 clubs, as well as news updates, live events,
and press conferences, The Rich Eisen Show will join other NFL
Media programming available on NFL Now including Finding
Giants, and A Football Life. For more information, visit
