For the 13th straight year, DIRECTV continued to outpace all
cable competitors in customer satisfaction, according to the most
recent survey by the American Customer Satisfaction Index (ACSI).
In addition, DIRECTV surpassed both DISH Network and AT&T
U-Verse in this year's survey, ranking #1 in seven individual
survey measures.
DIRECTV posted one of the largest increases over last year among
its competitors, receiving an ACSI score of 72, reflecting
customers’ overall satisfaction with the service. Based on the
study results, DIRECTV ranked #1 in perceived quality, picture
quality, HD picture quality, channel range, premium channels
availability, easy to use menu and Website satisfaction.
"Every DIRECTV employee is focused on providing our more than 20
million customers with the best experience at every touch point of
our relationship with them, and I’m proud to see our ACSI score
reflects that effort,” said Mike White, chairman, president and CEO
of DIRECTV. "We understand the needs of our customers are
constantly evolving, and while we still have a lot of work to do,
we continue to make significant progress in delivering not only the
best customer experience, but the best entertainment experience
with new products and services, making DIRECTV their first choice
among television providers."
The American Customer Satisfaction Index is a national economic
indicator of customer evaluations of the quality of products and
services available to household consumers in the United States.
ACSI releases results for various sectors of the economy on a
monthly basis to provide up-to-the-moment coverage over the entire
calendar year. The national index is updated each quarter and
factors in scores from more than 230 companies in 47 industries and
