DIRECTV Appoints Joe Bosch Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer

DIRECTV, the world’s most popular video service, announced today
that Joe Bosch has been named executive vice president and Chief
Human Resources Officer for DIRECTV. Bosch will report to Mike
White, Chairman, President and CEO of DIRECTV, and will be
responsible for executive recruitment and talent management,
compensation, workforce performance, organizational alignment,
training and development, change management, employee and labor
relations, employee benefits, and employee communications.

Bosch joins DIRECTV from Centex where he served as senior vice
president of Human Resources. While at Centex, Bosch rebuilt the
senior executive team and established a corporate-wide approach to
talent management. He built a world-class HR function, developed a
senior-level succession process and designed new pay
structures.
Prior to Centex, Bosch was senior vice president of Human
Resources at Tenet Healthcare, where he oversaw all HR functions,
implemented a balanced scorecard incentive system to drive the
corporate strategy and rebuilt the HR function and system
capability.
He was also senior vice president and Chief People Officer at
Pizza Hut, where he led the cultural revolution of the company from
a marketing-focused organization to a customer-focused ownership
and recognition-based culture.
Bosch holds a B.S. in Industrial Relations from Cornell
University.
