CBS All Access Service Continues to Expand to New Device Platforms and Is Now Available on Apple TV Channels in Canada

NEW YORK, June 3, 2019 /CNW/ -- CBS All Access, CBS' direct-to-consumer digital subscription video on-demand service, today announced that its original series STRANGE ANGEL will premiere its second season on Thursday, June 13 in Canada. New episodes of STRANGE ANGEL's seven-episode second season will be available on demand weekly on Thursdays exclusively for CBS All Access subscribers in Canada, mirroring the series' roll-out on the service in the U.S.

STRANGE ANGEL, a drama series created by Mark Heyman ("Black Swan," "The Skeleton Twins") and based on George Pendle's book of the same name, is inspired by the real-life story of Jack Parsons and explores the dramatic intersection between genius and madness, science and science fiction. At the conclusion of STRANGE ANGEL's first season, Jack (Jack Reynor) and his team from Caltech made a scientific breakthrough that secured the military's interest as the country neared the brink of war. In season two, the U.S. is fully engaged in World War II, transforming Jack's rocketry work into a lucrative business and further entrenching him in the military-industrial complex. While Jack's career takes off, he and his wife Susan's devotion to their new occult religion grows, leading them to invite the sex cult into their Pasadena mansion and Jack to forge a personal relationship with the group's notorious founder, Aleister Crowley himself.

The cast of STRANGE ANGEL includes Jack Reynor, Rupert Friend, Bella Heathcote and Peter Mark Kendall. Angus Macfadyen joins the cast in season two as Aleister Crowley.

In addition to STRANGE ANGEL, other CBS All Access original series available in Canada include TELL ME A STORY, comedy series NO ACTIVITY, as well as seasons one and two of THE GOOD FIGHT, with more to be announced.
