Walgreens Boots Alliance Inc. said Thursday that same-day prescription delivery has been rolled out to nearly all Walgreens stores seven days a week.

The move adds to broader same-day delivery services that Walgreens offers on non-prescription retail products, the company said.

Walgreens and competitors such as CVS Health Corp. that run traditional brick-and-mortar pharmacies have faced pressure to boost delivery options following Amazon.com Inc.'s launch of consumer-pharmacy services.
