Senior Housing Properties Trust (NYSE: SNH) announced the results of its annual meeting held earlier today as follows.

Frederick N. Zeytoonjian was re-elected as an Independent Trustee, receiving 96.9% of all shares voted.

Shareholders approved, with 97.0% of all the shares voted, a nonbinding advisory resolution approving the compensation paid to the Company’s named executive officers.

Regarding the proposal required by the Dodd-Frank Law and applicable SEC rules to be presented by shareholders on named executive officers’ compensation, the recommendation for such a vote every year received votes of 59.0% of outstanding shares; the recommendation for such a vote every two years received votes of 1.4% of outstanding shares; the recommendation for such a vote every three years received 16.3% of outstanding shares; and the balance of outstanding shares abstained or did not vote.

Shareholders approved, with 99.2% of all shares voted, the ratification of appointment of Ernst & Young LLP as SNH’s independent registered public accounting firm.
