Northwest Airlines Announces New Nonstop Service Between Memphis
and Lincoln, Neb. Two daily flights to begin May 16 MEMPHIS, Tenn.,
Feb. 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Northwest Airlines (NASDAQ:NWAC)
today announced new nonstop service between Lincoln, Neb., and the
airline's hub at Memphis, Tenn. Two daily flights will be offered
beginning May 16. This new service will provide Lincoln with the
only nonstop service to a southern hub, offering convenient
connections to cities throughout the southern United States,
including 13 destinations in Florida, plus Mexico and the
Caribbean. With this addition, Northwest will have 10 daily
departures from Lincoln to all three of its domestic hubs at
Minneapolis/St. Paul, Detroit and Memphis. The service will be
operated by Northwest Airlink partner Pinnacle Airlines Corp.
utilizing the Canadair Regional Jet (CRJ), which seats up to 50
passengers. The new flights will bring to 92 the number of
destinations served nonstop from Memphis. The new flights are now
on sale at http://www.nwa.com/ , through travel agencies or
