PRAGUE, Czech Republic, September 15 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- Ness Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ:NSTC), a global supplier of IT solutions and services, today announced that its Czech subsidiary, Ness Czech, will deliver a SAP-based ERP system to the Bulgarian division of CEZ, the Czech power utility. The large-scale, multi-million dollar project will be completed by January 1, 2007. CEZ is the biggest electricity producer in the Czech Republic and also operates in other central and eastern European countries, including Bulgaria, where CEZ owns three distribution companies. The new SAP-based ERP system will include modules for financial accounting, asset management, control, liquidity management, logistics, and data warehousing. "In 2005, we took over five power distribution companies in the Czech Republic and needed to unify internal processes within the entire CEZ Group," said Tomas Pleskac, Director of CEZ's Distribution Division. "SAP for Utilities system proved to be an ideal solution that met all our requirements and supported our further expansion. It was the largest integration project in Central European IT conducted by SAP, while Ness was a sub-contractor. That is why we once again selected an ERP system from SAP to be delivered by Ness for our Bulgarian acquisition." "The implementation of SAP for CEZ in Bulgaria is a testimony of Ness' ability to support its clients in their expansion to other markets," said Milan Sames, Managing Director of Ness Czech. "Thanks to cooperation with our sister companies in other Central and East European countries, we can better understand the target market and optimize the total costs of delivery." Ness is a traditional supplier of IT services for leading utility companies in Central and Eastern Europe, and has extensive experience with similar large-scale projects in other sectors as well.
