MTC Wins $6.7 Million in Air Force Awards for Education and Training

DAYTON, Ohio, Oct. 23 /PRNewswire-FirstCall/ -- MTC Technologies,
Inc. (NASDAQ:MTCT), an industry-recognized provider of aircraft
modernization and sustainment, professional services, C4ISR, and
logistics solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and national
security agencies, announced that the Company has won a $2.1
million award to support Headquarters Air Education and Training
Command (AETC), and a $4.6 million award to provide courseware for
Joint Imagery Analysis Courses (JIAC). The awards are part of the
NETCENTS contract, which is led by Harris Corporation subsidiary
Multimax Incorporated. As part of the Multimax Team on the NETCENTS
contract, MTC was awarded the lead role in a three-year effort to
provide web services and hosting for AETC's Directorate of
Communications. The work, to be performed by MTC at San Antonio,
Texas, entails providing a technical solution that includes a web-
based portal for email, online document collaboration, data
storage, and instant messaging. Internal and public websites will
serve the faculty and students of the USAF Academy in Colorado; the
Air University in Alabama; and the Air Force Institute of
Technology in Ohio. San Antonio-based NDU Systems will provide the
facilities, servers, and bandwidth for the project. The basic plus
four-year options award for the JIAC will be accomplished by MTC at
Goodfellow AFB, Texas. The JIAC are a series of intermediate-level
imagery courses used to develop analytical skills in defense sensor
interpretation and application for qualified DoD and CIA imagery
analysts. Under the contract, MTC courseware developers will apply
an "instructional systems design" process to develop and maintain
interactive, multimedia, instructional courses and related training
documentation, capable of being hosted on Government websites. "MTC
