Explanation of Responses:
(1)	On September 30, 2021, the Fund paid a quarterly distribution of $0.26475 per share to shareholders of record on August 30, 2021 (the "September 2021 Distribution"). The September 2021 Distribution was paid in cash or shares of the Fund's common stock at the election of stockholders with the total amount of cash distributed to all stockholders limited to 20% of the total distribution to be paid, excluding any cash paid for fractional shares. The remainder of the September 2021 Distribution (approximately 80%) was paid in the form of shares of the Fund's common stock. The price per share was $5.6778. Mr. T. Herzfeld received 19,427 shares of common stock of the Fund in the September 2021 Distribution.
(2)	Includes 8,582 shares issued in two transactions as part of the dividend reinvestment plan on March 31, 2021 and June 30, 2021.
