American Electric Power Co. on Wednesday said it named Ann Kelly as executive vice president and chief financial officer, effective Nov. 30.

The Columbus, Ohio, utility holding company said Ms. Kelly currently serves as vice president of finance and chief financial officer for UGI Corp.'s AmeriGas Propane Inc. unit.

American Electric Power in August named its current chief financial officer, Julie Sloat, to the additional post of president and said she would succeed Nicholas Akins as chief executive on Jan. 1.
