               Russell Chambers Appointed Non-Executive Director

 
Datamonitor plc is pleased to announce the appointment with effect from 2nd July
2003 of Russell Chambers as a non-executive Director.

Russell, 41, was Head of European Investment Banking at Investec from 2001 to
2003.  Prior to this he was a Managing Director in the UK Investment Banking
team at Merrill Lynch Europe where he worked for 13 years.

Before joining Merrill Lynch, Russell qualified as a solicitor with Lovells.

There are no disclosures to be made in respect of paragraph 6.F.2 (b) to (g) of
the Listing Rules of the UK Listing Authority.
