FTR Limited (FTR), the leading global supplier of multimedia recording and content management solutions for courts, hearing rooms and public meeting venues, today announced that it has been awarded full certification as a supplier of digital court recording systems by the state of Florida. The certification means FTR ReporterDeck and TheRecord Reporter, two of FTR's digital audio and/or video court recording solutions, have been judged to meet all requirements specified by the Florida State Office of Court Administration, and that FTR has been added to the list of approved suppliers for Florida courts. The key requirements include: high-resolution digital recording, automatic operation and centralized storage and retrieval through a relational database, and remote video monitoring and scheduling control over a network as secondary requirements. According to Steve Townsend, FTR president and CEO, meeting the state of Florida's rigorous certification requirements validates FTR as a dependable and reliable supplier of courtroom recording solutions. "Our products have become the de facto standard for recording, managing and distributing recorded proceedings of court trials and hearings throughout North America and in over 30 countries," he said. "This endorsement by the Florida State Office of Court Administration offers us a great opportunity to expand even further our market presence in Florida." Some of FTR's current Florida customers include 10 judicial circuit courts, Orange, Holmes, Pinellas, Manatee and Miami-Dade county courts, and city courts in Miami, Miami Beach, Sarasota and Key West.
