Hochtief Unit Thiess Gets Contract for A$550 Million

An Australian unit of Hochtief AG (HOT.XE) has been awarded a
contract to expand a coal mine in Queensland's Bowen Basin, the
German construction company said Wednesday.
MAIN FACTS:
-Jellinbah Resources has awarded Thiess a 550 million Australian
dollars ($516 million) contract to expand the Lake Vermont Coal
Mine, near Dysart in Central Queensland's Bowen Basin.
-Thiess will work to increase production from 6 million tons to
8 million tons of coal per annum.
-Thiess is a unit of Leighton Holdings Ldt. (LEI.XE), which
Hochtief holds a majority stake in.
