Hochtief's Leighton Unit Gets $328 Million Contract in Tasmania

German construction company Hochtief AG (HOT.XE) Monday said its
Australian unit Leighton Holdings Ltd. (LEI.AU) has been awarded a
contract to redevelop Royal Hobart Hospital in Tasmania.
MAIN FACTS:
-Leighton subsidiary John Holland has been awarded a contract
worth 365 million Australian dollars ($328 million)by the
Department of Health and Human Services.
-It includes constructing a new building of two towers and ten
floors to accommodate operating theatres, women's clinics,
endoscopy, paediatrics, maternity and mental health functions
together with the refurbishment of existing clinical areas and site
wide infrastructure upgrades.
-The project is expected to get underway later this month with
detailed designs, while construction works are scheduled for
completion in June 2017.
