ConocoPhillips' (COP) Bayway oil refinery in Linden, NJ, experienced a power outage early Monday morning, a company spokesman said. The company also reported flaring activity at its Rodeo, Calif., oil refinery Friday, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.

BP PLC (BP, BP.LN) reported Saturday that planned flaring activity will begin at its Carson, Calif., refinery Sunday, according to a filing with state environmental regulators.

BP Friday began the process of restarting resid hydrotreater unit train 400 at its oil refinery in Texas City following maintenance. Start up procedures got underway at 5 a.m. CDT and are seen concluding by the same time on Oct. 29.

ExxonMobil (XOM) announced Thursday it has completed commissioning of new units to produce ultra low sulfur diesel at its Baytown, Texas and Baton Rouge LA refineries. This will enable ExxonMobil to increase the supply of ultra low sulfur diesel by over 3 million gallons a day from the refineries, and allow for reduced emissions from diesel consumption when used in modern engines.

BP PLC late Wednesday notified California state regulators of its intention to flare excess emissions between October 22 and November 8 at its Carson, California, refinery. The flaring is not associated with equipment breakdown and follows seven days of planned flaring between October. 12 and 19 and three days of planned flaring from September 27-30.

Trade sources said Wednesday that Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) shut a crude unit at its Robinson, Illinois, refinery earlier this week for maintenance. The unit could be restarted as early as Friday or early next week. The company wouldn't comment.

Tesoro Corp. (TSO) partially restarted its oil refinery in Anacortes, Washington, Tuesday, according to a local news report. The refinery shutdown on April 2 following a fatal blast and fire.

Turnaround continues at Motiva's Port Arthur, Texas, refinery FCCU. The unit was taken out of service unplanned in late August, when to Co. decided to advance scheduled turnaround maintenance. The unit is expected to return to service in early November, a person familiar with operations at the plant said Tuesday.

Husky Energy Inc.'s (HUSKF, HSE.T) oil refinery in Lima, Ohio, began 40 days of planned turnaround maintenance Friday at the plant's catalytic cracking unit and coker. All other units will remain up and running. The refinery will continue to produce throughout the turnaround, to company said.
